Are hadiths the example of prophet Muhammad ?

Peace to the world,

Is it true that Prophet Muhammad is an excellent example for all ? Is it true that in order to follow his examples we need hadiths ? We have already shown from the Qur'an that it is fully detailed (click to read) and we have already seen from the Qur'an that Muhammad was not given any other revelation beside Qur'an for humanity (click to read). Even then, let us consider the very ayaat (verse) that is quoted by the sheikhs/imams/scholars to raise this issue :

"Indeed, in the messenger of God a good example has been set for you for he who seeks God and the Last Day and thinks constantly about God."
[ Qur'an 33:21]

We notice that the verse does not say that "in Muhammad", but let us assume that the verse is talking about Prophet Muhammad. What these mullahs/sheikhs say is that because of the above ayaat, we have to follow examples of prophet, but from the sahih-hadith collections written by man centuries after the prophet. You can either blindly listen to the scholars, or listen to the Qur'an and what it says about good example. Let me demonstrate to you how much these scholars/sheikhs lie. Let us consider the following verses:

"There has been a good example set for you by Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: We are innocent from you and what you serve besides God. We have rejected you, and it appears that there shall be animosity and hatred between us and you until you believe in God alone. Except for the saying of Abraham to his father: I will ask forgiveness for you, but I do not possess any power to protect you from God. Our Lord, we have put our trust in You, and we turn to You, and to You is the final destiny. Our Lord, do not let us become a test for those who rejected, and forgive us. Our Lord, You are the Noble, the Wise. Certainly, a good example has been set by them for those who seek God and the Last Day. And whoever turns away, then God is the Rich, the Praiseworthy."

[Qur'an 60:4-6]

So, we find in the context of the overall Qur'an that "good example" does not mean that you now have to go and find out tonnes of man made books about the messengers/prophets in order to follow. Allah uses the EXACT SAME terms to talk about good examples of IBRAHIM and his companions as we see in 60:4-5. Did we go and find out 6 sahih-hadith collections for that ? No, we did not. This is because the Qur'an is already telling us about them. In the same way, when it comes to prophet Muhammad, the Qur'an is filled with examples. The Qur'an is filled with situations he faced and how God ordered him to tackle the situations. Let us consider one of the most extraordinary examples I came across :

"O you prophet, why do you make unlawful what God has made lawful for you, seeking to please your wives? God is Forgiver, Merciful."

[Qur'an 66:01]

In the above ayaat (verse), we see an extraordinary example. A prophet of God making the mistake of declaring things halal/haram by himself which Allah did not give him the authority to do. The example we get from this verse is phenomenal. This verse bares witness that ONLY GOD has the authority to make things halal/haram and just because prophet said something, it does not make it lawful/unlawful. So, we learn from this example the same message that we learnt from the principle of our faith , "There is no God beside Allah".

After all, if  Muhammad also could make things halal or haram, then there would be 2 Gods, not ONE. I am ending this post with a food for thought for you:

"And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur'an from every example- that they might remember."
[Qur'an 39:27]
"And We have repeated for humankind, in this Qur'an, every kind of example, but the majority of humankind do not consent to anything but denying."
[Qur'an 17:89]

Let me ask you, what about you ? Are you with the majority in 17:89 , deny that God gave all examples in His kitaab ?

Peace be with you

Apostasy in the light of Qur'an

Peace to the world,

This topic is a bit controversial. Apostasy, is there a punishment for those who leave the faith of Islam ? Is there any punishment for those who leave the faith and join and share her/his other faith with people ? A term I came across , that is used by many traditional muslims for this is "Murtaad".

If we ignore the Qur'an and simply obey what we hear from people that claim to be imams/sheikhs/scholars/etc, we will come to 2 answers for our question.

Answer 1: Yes, leaving the faith of Islam is a crime punishable by death.

Answer 2: No, simply leaving the faith does not qualify you for a death penalty. However, if you share/promote your new faith with others, you have to be given a death penalty.

I have come across traditional islamic preachers who compare Apostasy(leaving your faith) to Treason (the act of betraying your own country) to try and justify the death penalty.

Let us explore the Qur'an and see what it has to say on the issue, starting with a hadith from Sahih Bukhari that speaks lies on such issues:

Volume 9, Book 84, Number 57 :
Narrated by 'Ikrima
Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to 'Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn 'Abbas who said, "If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah's Apostle forbade it, saying, 'Do not punish anybody with Allah's punishment (fire).' I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah's Apostle, 'Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'"

Ofcourse giving death penalty to anyone because he/she changed their faith is unislamic and a lie about the messenger of God. Let us see this from the Qur'an :

"Say: O rejecters,
I do not serve what you serve
Nor do you serve what I serve
Nor will I serve what you serve
Nor will you serve what I serve
To you is your system, and to me is mine"
[ Qur'an 109:1-6]

So even in the extreme case where you percieve a person to be a kafir, you are not asked to go and cut off the head of that person or execute the person. To you will be your deen (system) to the other person is theirs.

Not only in the above example, the Qur'an makes clear that on the matter of faith, one can not force others, let alone kill in the name of Islam:

"There is no compulsion in the system; the proper way has been clarified from the wrong way. Whoever rejects evil, and believes in God, indeed he has taken grasp of the strongest hold that will never break. God is Hearer, Knower."
[Qur'an 2:256]

There is no forcing each other in Islam, yet, the traditional scholars/sheikhs/imams try to inject their dirty wishful thinkings into Islam. These sheikhs/imams think of themselves as some form of police, guardian, military approved of God who are supposed to force people to follow what God wants when those people dont want it. Ofcourse these sheikhs/imams contradict the teaching we find in Qur'an:

"Whoever obeys the messenger has obeyed God; and whoever turns away, We have not sent you as a guardian over them."
[Qur'an 4:80]

"So if they turn away, then you are only required to deliver clearly."
[Qur'an 16:82]

"And if God had willed, they would not have set up partners. And We did not place you over them as a guardian, nor are you over them as a sponsor."
[Qur'an 6:107]

"We have sent down to you the Book for the people with the truth. Then, whoever is guided is guided for himself, and whoever goes astray goes astray to his own loss. And you are not a keeper over them."
[Qur'an 39:41]

The Qur'an repeats it so many times that if God wanted, he could make all of us obey, we are not supposed to force others like we are some kind of guardian over them. But still, the sheikhs/imams/scholars of traditional islam ignore this. They want to threaten people with death penalty if they differ in opinion regarding faith. The following ayaat is thought provoking:

"He said: "O my people, do you see that should I be upon a clarity from my Lord, and He has given me a mercy from Himself, that you may be blinded to it? Shall we compel you to it while in-fact you hate it?" "
[Qur'an 11:28]

It looks like, the imams/sheikhs would answer this question with..."Yes, why only compel ? lets give them death penalty". Its even more ironic how these same people keeps moaning all day saying that their Islam is not spread by sword !!

It has come to my attention that some haters of Qur'an along with extremists that hide under the title of "muslims" are using verses from Qur'an to either show that Qur'an promotes killing of apostates or in the case of "muslim" extremists, to show that they can kill a person if they no longer follow Islam. One can cherry pick many places, but I am only showing one example I found in a website called "faithfreedom". The verses are 4:88 to 4:89:

"What is the matter with you that you are divided into two groups over the hypocrites, while God has regressed them for what they have earned? Do you want to guide those whom God misguides? Whoever God causes to be misguided, you will never find for him a path. They hope that you will reject as they have rejected, then you will be the same. Do not take any of them as allies until they emigrate in the cause of God. If they turn away, then take them and kill them wherever you find them; and do not take from them any ally or supporter."
[Qur'an 4:88-89]

People may read this and immediately jump into conclusions. However, those who are sincere enough will atleast read further. Let me show you the next verse and destroy this falsehood:

"Except for those who reach a people with whom you have a covenant, or if they come to you with a reluctance in their chests to fight you or to fight their own people. Had God willed He would have given them strength and they would have fought you. But if they retire from you, and do not fight you, and they offer you peace; then God does not make for you a path against them."
[Qur'an 4:90]

So we see that the fighting against apostates in 4:89 is only limited to those who are waging war on you, not those who are peaceful and do not wish you harm (highlighted in red in the above verse 4:90).
Now, not to attack any other religion, but I must share where these imams/scholars/sheikhs and their hadith compiling liars got their inspiration from, since its not from Qur'an.

Holy Bible (Leviticus 24:16)
"anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death"

Holy Bible (Deuteronomy 13:6-10)
If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, “Let us go and worship other gods do not yield to them or listen to them. Show them no pity. Do not spare them or shield them. You must certainly put them to death. Your hand must be the first in putting them to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone them to death, because they tried to turn you away from the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

It will be unfair to end it here, let us see what the Qur'an actually says about those who leave the system of God.

"O you who believe, whoever from among you turns away from His system, then God will bring a people whom He loves and they love Him; humble towards the believers, proud towards the rejecters; they strive in the cause of God and do not fear to be blamed by those who blame. This is the grace of God, He bestows it upon whom He wills; God is Encompassing, Knowledgeable."
[Qur'an 5:54]

"Those who believed, then rejected, then believed, then rejected, then they increased in rejection; God was not to forgive them nor to guide them to the path."
[Qur'an 4:137]

"Whoever rejects God after having believed - except for he who is forced while his heart is still content with belief - and has comforted his chest towards rejection, then these will have a wrath from God and they will have a great retribution."
[Qur'an 16:106]

This theme is repeated throughout the Qur'an, God does not love those who conceal and reject truth. However, God never asks you and I or anyone to go and start giving death penalty to those whom we may percieve as kafirs/rejectors.

Perhaps, the following verses from the Qur'an best summarizes what we should or should not do with people whom we percieve to be rejectors:

"And leave Me to deal with the deniers who have been given the good things, and give them time for a while."
[Qur'an 73:11]

"So leave Me alone with he whom I have created. And I gave him abundant wealth. And sons to bear witness. And I made everything comfortable for him. Then he is greedy, wanting that I give more. No. He was stubborn to Our revelations."
[Qur'an 74:11-16]

Yes, just as we read above in the statements of God, we should give them their time (after all, life is a test !!). We should leave the matter with God. We do not know what is in the heart of a person, God does. When you believe in the words of Qur'an, so put your trust in it and act accordingly. Leave them for God to deal with.

Which is the best creation of God ?

Peace to the world,

We who believe in God, attribute ownership of all creations to God. As muslims, we believe that God created many things. However, the virus of arrogance is present in us. We want to believe that we are the center of attraction and the universe is there for us only. A traditional muslim is made to believe that us humans are "THE BEST OF CREATION", or as it is traditionally stated "Ashraf-ul-maqlukat". Since we love to be pampered, most of us never bother criticising this belief. On top of that, we have the mullahs/sheikhs/imams/scholars constantly ensuring us that we are indeed the best.

Is it really the case ? Human beings are the best of Allah's creations ? The rapist that raped a child and then brutally murdered her is unfortunately a human being too. Does this not bother you ? How on earth does being born out of the womb of a homosapien (human) qualify you to be "THE BEST" ?

Planets orbiting the Sun according to the laws of the creator are inferior infront of you, for what ? What makes you The Best when those planets are doing some real work to prove their qualifications ? God gives a Book and most get busy breaking every rule of the Book , is that what makes us The Best ? I dont know about you, but that title makes no sense to me. It is a very arrogant and delusional idea that human beings are "The Best of all creation". I grew up knowing that humans are really the best of all creations according to God. But as I started reading the Qur'an, it was made plain to me. God never said so. Infact, what He said was:

"As for those who believe and do good works, they are the best of creation. "

[ Qur'an 98:07]

So, you believing alone is not enough. You need to be righteous, do good to have any chance of being the best of creation. But who listens to Allah/God ? After all, your scholars studied so much, they cant be wrong. Allah protected his kitaab for you, this should have been your furqaan (critereon), but why will you use it when you have other man made books to decide for you. After all, no matter how much traditional muslims say that Qur'an is their number one source, simple questioning of ANY thing reveals that Qur'an is the last place where they get their religion from.

Just incase you still doubt about what I just said about being the best, here is another ayaat(sign/verse) from the Qur'an:

"And We have honored the Children of Adam and carried them in the land and the sea, and We have provided for them of the good things, and We have preferred them over many of those We created in a marked preference."
[ Qur'an 17:70]

The next time your favourite sheikh boasts about being the best , ask him/her to explain the highlighted part of the ayaat. God preferred children of Adam over "many", which means that he did not prefer us over "all".

I hope that God increases us in knowledge and understanding and guides us all to His straight path.

The Greatest messenger of Allah

Peace to the world,

All muslims know that there were many messengers sent by God. But if we rank them, who would be number one ? Will it be Muhammad ? Moses ? Jesus ? Who is the greatest messenger of Allah ?

Before we find the answer to that, I must tell you that even to rank them yourself, you would need to know their hearts. Ofcourse, I do not know what is in their heart, so I can't judge them. But I am pretty sure that your favourite mullah/sheikh/scholar/imam already informed you about the answer to this question. Since we know that God is the best scholar, let us look into His Book, Al-Qur'an, and find out what did Allah tell us about the topic.

Say: "We believe in God and in what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham, and Ishmael, and Isaac, and Jacob, and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus, and what was given to the prophets from their Lord; we do not make a distinction between any of them and to Him we submit."
[ Qur'an 2:136]

So, according to Allah, as He inspired the messenger to "Say", we believe in all his messengers/prophets and what was given to them and ofcourse we believe in what was given to us. AND WE DO NOT MAKE DISTINCTION BETWEEN ANY OF THEM.

Let us look at the Qur'an further and see if we can find similar statements.

The messenger believes in what was sent down to him from his Lord; and the believers, all who believe in God, and His angels, and His Books, and His messengers: "We do not make a distinction between any of His messengers;" and they said: "We hear and obey, forgive us our Lord, and to you is our destiny."
[ Qur'an 2:285]

So once more we see that we are not supposed to make distinctions between any of Allah's messengers. Let us look for more ayaats :

Say: "We believe in God and what was sent down to us and what was sent down to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Patriarchs, and what was given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. We do not make a distinction between any of them, and to Him we submit."
[ Qur'an 3:84]

And those who believe in God and His messengers and do not make a distinction between any of them, We will give them their recompense. And God is Forgiving, Merciful.
[ Qur'an 4:152]

Chapter 3 verse 84 says the same thing, we should not make distinction between God's messengers. In chapter 4 verse 152, we learn that those who do not make distinctions between messengers of God will get rewards from God. So, not making distinction is a good act in the sight of God.

Having looked into Qur'an, we are now crystal clear on the issue. A righteous person will not make distinction between ANY of HIS messengers. So, based on the question "Who is the greatest messenger ?" ranking the messengers as 1st 2nd 3rd can only lead you away from the straight path of Allah.

So the next time your favourite sheikh/alim/mullah/imam/scholar tries to rank them (messengers) and declare any one of them as superior or inferior to the other, remember that you are have been shown these ayaats. Truth is clear to you, if you still believe your sheikhs more than God's words that He preserved for you, did you not take them as partner beside God ? Actually, the case is worse, you are then rejecting God's words to accept your scholar's words.

Feel free to comment , criticize and share your views down in the comment section.

Did prophet Muhammad know the future ?

Peace to the world,

Any traditional muslim can verify that he/she heard many hadiths of prophet where the prophet informs the companions about future. There are hadiths relating to end times, general future world situations etc. Any reader of hadith literature knows that Muhammad could see the unseen. Muhammad even warns his companions about the unseen and what it will bring to the world. My question to you is, what did God say about it ? Let us see in the Qur'an (chapter 27 verse 65):

27:65    Say: "None in the heavens or the earth know the unseen except God. And they do not perceive when they will be resurrected.

For anyone with the ability to read, it is clear. ONLY GOD knows the unseen/future. This ayaat (verse/sign) is enough for me. However, one may try to claim that God gave Muhammad the ability to do it. So we need to verify that from Qur'an too. Let us look further into Qur'an( 6:50, 7:188, 11:31):

6:50    Say: "I do not say to you that I possess the treasures of God, nor do I know the future, nor do I say to you that I am an angel. I merely follow what is inspired to me." Say: "Are the blind and the seer the same? Do you not think?

So, God made the messenger declare that the messenger DOES NOT KNOW the future. The messenger only follows what is revealed to him. Qur'an says that the only thing revealed is Qur'an (click this). Let us look further:

7:188    Say: "I do not possess for myself any benefit or harm, except what God wills. And if I could know the future, then I would have increased my good fortune, and no harm would have come to me. I am but a warner and a bearer of good news to a people who believe."

The messenger is commanded to say that he did not know the future, and he is made to argue further by saying that IF he knew the future, he could increase his good fortune and no harm could touch him. This alone tells you that harm did touch him. God makes him declare in the end of the ayaat (verse/sign) that he is just a warner and someone who is sent with a good news for the believers. Let us look at another example:

11:31    "Nor do I say to you that I have the treasures of God, nor do I know the future, nor do I say that I am an angel, nor do I say to those whom your eyes look down upon that God will not grant them any good. God is more aware of what is in their souls; in such case I would be among the wicked."

Once more, we find God making the messenger declare that he does not know the future and is not angelic in nature, he is just a man, a clear warner.

46:9Say: I am no different from the other messengers, nor do I know what will happen to me or to you. I only follow what is inspired to me. I am no more than a clear warner.

It is remarkable how the Qur'an makes the topic so clear. Only the scholars/sheikhs/imams/mullahs come up with their CONTRADICTORY hadiths and teach the people anti-Qur'an teachings. I get it, there were always people whom God trusted with the scripture and they went astray, some even went as far as making the messenger into a God. If you are a traditional muslim, you have now read my refutation from the Qur'an. It is time for you to either think about discarding the traditions and obey what you hear from the Qur'an, or help the sheikhs/scholars hide these ayaats of God and obey what you hear from their other books.

In any case, it is my duty to inform you that those who do not judge with God's kitaab are kafirs/fasiks/zalims (5:44:48). I leave the decision up to you, as I still think that no matter how much we differ, your heart can be a muslim and I am no one to judge that.

"What is wrong with you, how do you judge? Or do you have another book which you study? In it, you can find what you wish?"
[Qur'an 68:36-37]

With that said, I would like to see all of us do good while we are believers, without doing good, it is just a belief worth nothing.

98:7 As for those who believe and do good works, they are the best of creation.

Peace be on you

9 Questions for traditional muslims

Peace to the world,

This post is meant to raise questions for your inner self. Not for the person that others know as "you". But for the person that you and God alone knows as "you". The true "you", your inner self. I would assume that you can read, if not write aswell.

Imagine a room inside which you can find instructions that will give you eternal success. Imagine that the room is known as a miracle of God. Imagine that the informations in that room are given by God Himself and is preserved by Him for you. Imagine God giving you not only permission to enter, but an invitation to enter the room.

Now Imagine that only few people that you consider as "smart" go inside the room to see the instructions. When these people come out of the room, they claim to have recieved the instructions. However, they dont agree between each other on details of the instructions.

  1. If you have never been to the room yourself, can you honestly say who among the ones that entered the room is correct ?
  2. You can always have faith in one of the people that go to that room, BUT, is faith in that person the same as faith in God ?
  3. If your reason for having faith in your favourtie person that visited the room is that the person is very knowledgeable, do you not know that scientists like Isaac Newton was Christian, Albert Einstein was agnostic Jew and Stephen Hawking does not believe in God ? What does this tell you about blind faith on smart people to understand what God kept in that room ?
  4. If smart people are correct in their opinion, why do many of their opinions go against each other ?
  5. If having different opinions is not a big deal, why can't "you" have your own opinion ?
  6. You can't have your opinion because you are not "as smart as those few people that enter the room" ?
  7. If it is guaranteed that their opinion is better than yours, why would God give you permission with an invitation to that room ?
  8. Did God mistakenly give you the permission and invitation to the room ?
  9. Or did you make the mistake of not accepting the invitation and putting your faith in a human being instead of God ?
The room that we are talking about in this post is the kitaab(book) from God. Muslims know this book as Al-Qur'an.  God detailed His book and invited you to read and learn it. God asked you to spread the message. Think about what your trusted people told you about what is inside the Qur'an.. Ask your self these 9 questions . Are you really on the Straight Path of God ? or you risk your life following a human being who can be wrong ? Do you want to simply repeat what you hear from them instead of checking God's message yourself ? Just because alot of people do that ? Just because your family taught you that ?

"And if they are told: "Follow what God has sent down," they say: "No, we will follow what we found our fathers doing!" What if their fathers did not comprehend anything and were not guided? And the example of those who disbelieve is like one who repeats what he has heard of calls and cries; deaf, dumb, and blind, they do not comprehend."
[Qur'an 2:170-171]

May God increase you in knowledge and open your eyes so that you be guided to success in this life and the next.

Peace be on you

Misquoting God: Take what Muhammad gives you and abstain from what he forbids.

PEACE TO THE WORLD,

In this post, we will look into a classic example of misquoting God. Ever heard from the sheikhs/scholars/imams that Allah commanded us to take whatever Muhammad gives and stay away from whatever Muhammad forbids ? This has been used to justify their injection of man made pagan laws into Islam in the name of God and His messenger. These people claim to be scholars, yet, the ayaat that they quote is not even quoted by them fully. Let us look at the ayaat with context and see why Allah found it necessary all of a sudden to share His Godhood with Muhammad:

The way these scholars present the ayaat:

"And you may take what the messenger gives you, but do not take what he prohibits you from taking."
[Qur'an 59:7]

My view:

Allah never asked you to take whatever Muhammad gives you in the sense that you are supposed to take whatever God gives you. This ayaat is about the fair and just distribution of war booty among both rich and poor people who are needy. These scholars/imams not only misquote, they dont even provide you the full ayaat for God's sake. Let me provide you the full picture:

"Glorifying God is everything in the heavens and the earth; and He is the Noble, the Wise. He is the One who drove out those who disbelieved among the people of the Book from their homes at the very first mobilization. You never thought that they would leave, and they thought that their fortresses would protect them from God. But then God came to them from where they did not expect, and He cast terror into their hearts. They destroyed their homes with their own hands and the hands of the believers. So learn from this, O you who possess vision. And had God not decreed to banish them He would have punished them in this world; and in the Hereafter they will face the retribution of the Fire. This is because they challenged God and His messenger. And whoever challenges God, then God is severe in punishment. Whether you cut down a tree or left it standing on its root, it was with the permission of God. He will surely humiliate the wicked. And what God provided to His messenger, without you having to battle for it on horses or on foot, was because God sends His emissaries against whoever He wills. And God is capable of all things. Whatever God bestowed upon His messenger from the people of the towns, then it shall be to God and His messenger, and the relatives, and the orphans, and the poor, and the wayfarer. Thus, it will not remain monopolized by the rich among you. And you may take what the messenger gives you, but do not take what he prohibits you from taking. And be aware of God, for God is mighty in retribution. For the immigrants who are poor and were driven out of their homes and deprived of their properties; they were seeking a grace from God and acceptance, and they supported God and His messenger; these are the truthful ones. And those who provided them with shelter, and were believers before them; they love those who immigrated to them, and they find no hesitation in their hearts in helping them, and they readily give them priority over themselves, even when they themselves need what they give away. Indeed, those who overcome their desires are the successful ones. And those who came after them saying: Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us to the faith, and do not place in our hearts any animosity towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are Compassionate, Merciful.
[Qur'an 59:1-10 ]

So, we see in context that it was never about taking what the messenger gives you in a Godly sense. In context, we are detailed by God in His kitaab(book) that there were people who supported the messenger with all they had, there were needy people. The booty of the war will be monopolized by the rich and powerful, which is not the system of Allah as shown in the above ayaats. Allah wants to make sure that the resources gained do reach the ones in real need. So the order was given that Muhammad will honestly distribute it to the real needy.

It shocks me as to how many traditional muslims are misquoted this ayaat by their imams/scholars/sheikhs. Seriously, does this not open your eyes to the hypocrisy and evil that your sheikhs preach while they know they are lying ? It is amazing how they quote only part of a single ayaat where the ayaat is totally binded with the surrounding. How can they twist their tongues with the book of God to promote their lies ? Here is what Allah says about them:

"And from among them is a group who twist their tongues with the Book so that you may think it is from the Book, while it is not from the Book, and they say it is from God while it is not from God, and they say about God lies while they know."
[Qur'an 3:78]
